Parcel Xpress is the ultimate software package for the Next day Parcel industry, especially for the small operators trying to juggle freight from and to more than one system.

Parcel Xpress splits your freight in to three different areas, the morning consignments received from the hubbing system for delivery within your area. The nightly consignments being collected from your clients for delivery throughout the country and then the collections. The collection system handles both standard and third party collections from both other depots within the system and your own clients.

Parcel Xpress routes your freight, charges and invoices the consignments for up to 9 systems. This limits rekeying from one system to another, export files can be created in the required format for your hubbing operation.

Consignment details can also be imported from your client either in their own format or using the Client 2000 backdoor package. Parcel Xpress is a multi-user system as standard and network ready. User access levels can also be set for each menu operation and if you don't like what we have called a function then you can easily rename it.

Import/Export

• Import/Export consignments using the Parcel Xpress file definition.

House Keeping

Accounts

• Maintain multiple account records for a single account number. Especially useful if one depot covers many areas.
  

• Assign depot codes, joining and leaving dates for depots. This helps you find which depot was covering an area during a given period.

• Specify which system the clients freight is normally sent via.
  
• Which driver normally collects the clients freight and how often this is.
  
• Assign sales analysis codes.

• Upto 30 different ways of calculating charges. These can be added to quickly.
  
• Run price increases automatically, with the option to save these prices to a Future price list. The current/future prices can then be swapped when the price list becomes active.
  
• Define Special Offer prices, if the special price is cheaper than any of the customers prices then the special offer is used. A start and end date can also be assigned to determine the special offer period.

Freight Operations

• Locate delivery details with a direct link to AFD postcode.
  

• Maintain routing directory for each system, including delivery depots and area codes.
  
• Maintain address for individual accounts to help with consignment entry.
  
• Bulk key consignments directly from clients address list.

Nightly Consignments

• Capture clients nightly consignments. Ability to capture dimensions for checking volumed consignments.
  

• Automatically faxes pre-alerts to depots.
  
• Add additional unit trunking cost to each consignment (if required).
  
• Generate Delivery notes
  
• Generate Labels - Labels can also be printed after entering each consignment. Labels can be printed on standard dotmatrix, laser or thermal printers.

• Produce Load and Runsheets.
  
• Report on consignments received on a given day.
  
• Enter discrepancies for consignments Not Received, Received Short etc. These can be printed/fax or sent to the hubbing system electronically.
  
• Enter re-books, consignments failed at the end of the day, consignee not in etc. This rebook information can then be printed/faxed back to the sending depot.
  
• Generate delivery notes, if delivery notes not received.
  
• Produce daily figures for consignments received.
  
• Release billing sheets for delivery depots or invoices if depot deliveries aren't consolidated.
  
• Clear file at the end of day. To move delivered consignments to the history files.

Collections

• Enter standard or third party collections for customers and/or depots. Automatically fax collection requests through to depots with full details.
  

• Reprint collection requests.
  
• Quick amend screen for adjusting pieces and weights on returned collections.
  
• Release collections for invoicing, with the ability to alter pieces and weights.

Credit Notes

• Raise and print credit notes against consignments.

Other Freight functions

• Batch Proof of Deliveries(POD) - either just recording that the POD has been received back or enter full signature, date and time details.
  
• Enter discrepancy / rebook information for freight that you have placed in to a system.
  
• Raise automatic insurance claim paperwork against consignments that have not been delivered or not received at depots. (Based on number and type of discrepancy assigned to a consignment).
  
• Consignment history - view all details on a consignment within one screen. Record calls / tasks against a consignment. Powerful search facility to locate consignment details. Attach images and comments to each consignment.
  
• Consignment figures - full figure history, broken down by system and delivery type. Including pieces, weight, income, delivery costs, hubbing and trunking costs.
  
• Check depot invoices - display a list of consignments that have been sent to a given depot and check that their invoice is correct. Flag that an invoice has been received and the invoice number.
  
• Create Sundry Invoices/Credits that do not relate to an actual consignment.
  
• Alter uninvoiced consignments - change number of pieces, weight and service.
  
• Produce Weekly, Monthly collated invoices - creates a list of transactions that can be imported in to Sage Line50. Email or print invoices. Create Factor transmission files if required.

Reports
