PDI Reports Desktop

Reports desktop for Pastel AccountingPDIReports Desktop is a simple utility that allows you to run reports designed with Crystal reports (v8,v8.5,v9, v10) from one central place.

You can integrate the desktop with Pastel Partner v6,  Pastel 2004, Pastel 2005, Pastel 2007 & Pastel 2009 or have no integration and run the reports as defined. The no integration option is suitable for ODBC connections.

If you integrate with Pastel you can select which organisation to open and run the reports against. The application will then change the data location (if not using ODBC) for the selected organisation.

Keep your reports organised using the Report Category screen, declare as many categories as you require.

The Available Reports screen allows you to add previously designed reports, specifying which report category they should appear in, along with what type of integration should be carried out when running the report.

The selection formula can be customised to accept information returned from one of the finders if integration is turned on.

Reports can be assigned to a security group.  This means that you can limit which reports are available to individual users. The users are created with PDI Reports Desktop  so you don't have to set up any extra users within pastel.

The reports are run simply by double clicking on the required report. If integration is declared for the report then the relevant finder will be displayed.

You can also have the system invoke a Selection Formula screen that allows you to alter the selection formula that the report is run with.
