PaXcel 2009 for Pastel Partner

Select-n-load Budgets and Journals direct from Excel

Budgets
In today's business world we all have the need to create and maintain budgets. Pastel has the ability to capture budgets for "This Year" and
"Next Year" but where do we normally start our budget creation, Microsoft Excel seems a pretty good bet. Once our budgets have been created we then either have to manually capture the budgets in to Pastel Partner or use the Pastel budget import functionality, which allows us to import one budget set at a time and we must remember to include all budget periods.

Create budgets in ExcelWouldn't it be easier to create your budgets "This Year", "Next Year" within Excel using existing PaXcel functions to retrieve monthly figures or current budgets, or use the functions within Excel to create your new budgets and then just select the region containing these budgets, press a button and have them all just written back to Pastel.

How, about just writing back your 4th quarter budgets, you could manually edit them again in Pastel or use Pastels import facility - remembering of course to import all the previous months budgets - easy with new Select-n-Load functionality inside PaXcel. Just select the region that contains your accounts and 4th quarter budgets to import, press the button and have PaXce write those budgets back.

Both of these options are now possible with PaXcel's new Select-n-Load function, create your spreadsheet, with the accounts and budgets you wish to write back, select the region and press to have the budgets updated straight from PaXcel.

For users who already have PaXcel this functionality is a free upgrade, just download the latest version of PaXcel. Check out the online help for details and you are away.

If you aren't using PaXcel, Hell! what are you waiting for. This single feature could save you more time and money than the purchase price of PaXcel 10 times over. If you still aren't sure, then take PaXcel and all of it's functionality along with Select-n-Load for a 30 day test drive. Click here to download the latest version and see how easy it is to create dynamic spreadsheets directly from Pastel's data as well as the new Select-n-load functionality.

Journals
Create your Journal in ExcelWhat if you had the need to create a Pastel journal either to send to your client for importing, or you wish that the journal could be captured in Excel from a remote site, emailed to you and then uploaded directly in to Pastels Journal/Cashbook back system. Well with PaXcel new

Select-n-Load
functionality you can do that one as well. Create your journal in a spreadsheet using the minimum of headers required, select the region and upload to Pastel or create an external file that can be emailed to the client for importing. This function is ideal for accountants and consultants at year end or to correct journals within the system or even converting customers data from one system to Pastel.

It can also be used as a way of an off-site location sending you customer, supplier invoices or journals to you in the form of a spreadsheet. Rather than re-capturing the details, just Select-n-Load the region of the spreadsheet and upload directly to Pastel.

This functionality is also available free of charge to all existing PaXcel users. If you aren't currently using PaXcel then take the 30-day trial version for a spin. Click here to download the latest version and see how easy it is to create dynamic spreadsheets directly from Pastel's data as well as the new Select-n-load functionality.

If you are using an older version of PaXcel then contact your local dealer to arrange for an upgrade price from your current version to PaXcel and all of it's functionality.
